Die Arbeit mit traumatisierten KlientInnen kann zu Stress und zu Burnout führen. Wie kann ein Team produktiver sein, auf das eigene Wohlbefinden und das persönliche und berufliche Wachstum achten und Burnout vermeiden? Auf welche Art ist die Dynamik, die in solchen Berufsfeldern typischerweise auftauchen, verbunden mit den grösseren sozialen und politischen Feldern, im Hintergrund wirken? Und warum kann es wichtig sein, mehr darüber zu wissen?

An diesem Seminarwochenende untersuchen wir die Dynamik rund um Trauma und Marginalisierung als einen Prozess, der uns nach innen (intrapsychisch), in Beziehungen (Interaktion) und in Feldern (Teams, Gruppen, Organisationen) beschäftigt. Das umfasst die Arbeit an der Vision, die wir für unsere Berufsrolle haben, die Werkzeuge, die wir als Einzelne und Teams zur Verfügung haben und den Handlungsspielraum, der uns zur Verfügung steht im Kontext der Organisation, dem sozialen und politischen Umfeld.

Wir lernen wie das Zusammenspiel dieser verschiedenen Bereiche den Zugang zu unseren Ressourcen und die berufliche Entwicklung beeinflusst. Wir untersuchen auch das Auftauchen und Verschwinden der drei Rollen des Opfers, des Täters und des Retters in diesem Prozess.

Alexandra Vassiliou, Ph.D. und Vera Lardi sind seit vielen Jahren beruflich in diesen Feldern aktiv, begleiten Gemeinden und Organisationen und bilden Berufsleute aus. Ihr methodischer Hintergrund fusst auf der Prozessarbeit, der sozialen Psychologie und dem Psychodrama. Sie haben in den letzten Jahren ihre eigenen Werkzeuge und Ansätze entwickelt, um Berufsleuten in traumatisierten Arbeitsumfeldern zu unterstützen.

Durch Theorie und praktische Übungen werden Inhalte verdeutlicht und wahrnehmbar gemacht. Die Werkzeuge, mit denen wir arbeiten können auf dieser Basis weiterentwickelt werden.

Berufstätige, die mit traumatisierten Klient*innen und Felder zu tun haben, Mitarbeitende aus psychosozialen Berufen und Flüchtlingsorganisationen.

Alexandra Vassiliou, Ph.D. and Vera Lardi sind tätig in der Beratung, Ausbildung, Supervision und im Teambuilding. Sie arbeiten viel mit NGOs, die Unterstützung für Flüchtlinge in Griechenland leisten (Medicins Sans Frontiers – Athens Day Care Center, Arsis – Support for Youth, Diotima – Gender Based Violence, Secours Islamique France – Safe Spaces in Camps for women and children, Greek Council for Refugees, etc.) Sie facilitieren auch Trainings für Lehrkräfte und Bildungsinstitutionen (University of Athens, Pedagogical Institute of Cyprus, Public Schools in Athens and Lesvos, Greece).

A training seminar for professionals in the role of caretaker who are exposed to trauma in their work environment

Working with a traumatized clientele can be complicated and stressful and is often connected with workers’ burnout. How can a team be more productive, take care of their well-being, personal and professional growth, and minimize burnout of its members? How are the dynamics typically appearing in environments like this (individual experiences and interactions in the team) often connected to the larger social and political field in which it operates? And why is that important to know?

In this training seminar we will explore trauma and marginalization as an internal, relationship and field dynamic. We will focus on three areas:

• The vision we hold for our professional role
• The skills that are available in the individuals and the team
• The room for maneuver produced by what is actually feasible in the given organizational, social and political context

We will learn how the interplay between these three areas affect our access to available skills and to the professional development of individual and groups. We will also explore the way that the roles of perpetrator, victim and savior appear and flow in the marginalization process.

Alexandra Vassiliou, Ph.D. and Vera Lardi draw on their extensive experiences as professionals in the field, as community workers and trainers. Their methodological approach is based on Processwork, Social Psychology and Psychodrama. Over the years they have developed their own tools in working with professionals dealing with traumatized individuals and groups.

This training seminar combines theory and experiential exercises, in order to deepen our understanding of the above dynamics and provide space to further develop our skills.

Professionals who are working with marginalized groups or individuals in therapeutic institutions, social services, community centers, NGOs and refugee organizations.

They offer training, supervision and team-building support for professionals working in Non Government Organizations that provide support for refugees in Greece (Medicins Sans Frontiers – Athens Day Care Center, Arsis – Support for Youth, Diotima – Gender Based Violence, Secours Islamique France – Safe Spaces in Camps for women and children, Greek Council for Refugees, etc). They also facilitate trainings for school teachers in educational settings that include refugee and migrant students (University of Athens, Pedagogical Institute of Cyprus, Public Schools in Athens and Lesvos, Greece).
